There were lots of interesting discussions on the origins of the study of culture. The one that sticks out to the most was the fact that the church during the Industrial Revolution refused to go into the inner city. It is difficult to think of the 'what ifs', but in some ways i feel like that is where separation happened between the church and people. If the church decided to go into the inner city, i wonder what Christianity would look like today.
