Reflections: Stokes Chapter 5

Although there might be ethical issues when interviewing individuals within the church for research, i believe this can be a helpful way for a church to understand their congregation. Studies can range from trying to gauge spiritual health of members, biblical knowledge, effectiveness of ministries, etc. Within the church setting, I believe rather than conducting an oral interview, a survey would be more effective for the research because there is less pressure when filling out surveys. Instead of making assumptions on the health of the members of the church, I believe leaders can makes steps to conduct a comprehensive survey to better understand how the church doing.
