Class Response: January 26, 2009

We ended today's discussion on the conversation that the 'educational system', not the church, is the prominent place where ideologies are formed. I am curious to know how the institution of family influences our ideologies. Of course within the family's ideologies include education and religious background, but if there are opposing ideologies taught the school vs. church vs. family which would dominate? How and when did the 'education system' become more influential than the church?
